Are you a recent marketing graduate (or soon‑to‑be graduate) looking to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, B2B healthcare marketing environment?
We’re seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team on a 6‑month fixed term contract, providing leave cover for a valued team member. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build practical experience across marketing campaigns, digital channels and events within a growing, purpose‑driven organisation.
You’ll support the day‑to‑day delivery of marketing activities, working closely with the Marketing Manager and broader commercial team. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, eager to learn, and keen to develop their marketing career in a supportive team environment.
You will be part of a marketing team supporting a growing organisation that provides diagnostic pathology, medical research, innovative laboratory equipment solutions, and surgical solutions to customers across Australia and New Zealand.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role supports a wide range of marketing initiatives, with exposure to events, digital marketing and campaign coordination in a B2B setting.
While this role is offered on a 6‑month fixed term basis only, it provides meaningful, resume‑building experience and exposure to many facets of a medium‑sized commercial organisation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the marketing team in the coordination and delivery of marketing activities and campaigns
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of marketing collateral, including brochures, EDMs, presentations and sales support materials
- Support the planning and delivery of events, trade shows and conferences, including logistics, materials and coordination
- Assist with digital marketing activity, including email marketing, social media updates and website content
- Help gather market and competitor information to support marketing initiatives
- Assist with tracking campaign activity and preparing basic performance reports
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information and support marketing requests
- Ensure marketing materials and activities are documented and aligned with brand guidelines

- A degree (or near completion) in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic knowledge or exposure to digital marketing tools (EDMs, social media, websites)
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous marketing, internship or placement experience is beneficial but not essential.
