About the role

IOR is seeking skilled and safety-focused Welder/Boilermakers to join the fabrication, maintenance, and performance of our fuel infrastructure assets. Based at our Port of Brisbane workshop, these hands-on roles are vital to ensuring operational reliability, equipment integrity, and manufacturing excellence across our network. Working a 9-day fortnight, you’ll contribute to a high-performing team while enjoying a balanced and rewarding work rhythm.

  • Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on predominantly stainless steel
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and welding symbols to ensure accurate execution of welds
  • Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications
  • Assemble pumping equipment, components, such as pumps, hoses, nozzles, and control panels.

About You

You’re a hands-on professional who takes pride in precision, safety, and performance. You thrive in fast-paced environments, stay sharp under pressure, and bring a proactive mindset to every task. Whether you’re welding, wiring, or managing logistics, you’re driven by quality, teamwork, and getting the job done right.

  • Trade qualification in Welding and or Boilermaking.
  • Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with a commitment to quality
  • Proven experience in mechanical pipe fitting, assembly, fabrication, and welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
