VDI Australia Group of companies have been the sole national distributor for Yutong buses since 2018, specialising in retailing Yutong buses, luxury coaches and their parts to a wide range of businesses and industries across Australia. Our continued expansion has created a tremendous opportunity for a suitably experienced Sales Account Manager to join our already experienced sales team. Reporting to the General Manager WA, the successful candidate will be committed to their success through identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting the Yutong brand through strategic engagement and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with bus operators, government agencies, and fleet managers across WA
Identify customer needs and match them with Yutong’s product offerings, including electric and diesel buses
Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and quotations
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system to track pipeline progress and customer interactions
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery and after-sales support
Represent VDI Australia at industry events, trade shows, and regional seminars
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic sales planning
Support sustainability initiatives and promote VDI’s commitment to environmentally responsible transport solutions
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in sales account management, ideally within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
Technical understanding of heavy vehicles, including licensing and compliance requirements
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
MR or HR driver’s licence required; forklift ticket desirable
Experience with Pentana or similar dealership systems is advantageous
High level of computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM platforms)
