  • $37.35p/h – $40.05p/h + 12% super + Charity salary packaging tax benefits.
  • SCHADS Award Level 3, Pay Point 1- 4 (depending on experience).

We are seeking a passionate and community-connected Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to help improve diabetes outcomes for our people across Victoria.

At Diabetes Victoria, we recognise that the voices, knowledge, and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are essential in shaping culturally safe health promotion.

Your Impact

  • Strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal communities, ACCHOs, VACCHO and health services.
  • Deliver culturally safe structured programs including Feltman, Feltmum and Diabetes Yarning.
  • Support campaigns and education that empower Aboriginal communities and families.
  • Champion cultural safety across Diabetes Victoria and support Aboriginal self-determination.

About You

  • Strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Understanding of cultural safety and Aboriginal health issues.
  • Skills in community engagement, facilitation or health promotion.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and community partnerships.
  • As this is an Aboriginal-identified role, applicants will be asked to confirm Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage as part of the recruitment process.
