HSE Advisor

The Role:

We’re on the hunt for a driven, hands-on HSE Advisor who’s passionate about safety and ready to make a real impact across our projects in the building and construction industry in Brisbane, Queensland.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures relevant to current Australian building and construction industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• Certificate 4 in Health and Safety
• Diploma in Health and Safety preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health, safety, and environmental role within the building and construction industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ demonstrated experience in a health, safety, and environmental role within the Australian building and construction industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in risk assessment and incident investigation techniques.
