labour productivity, compliance and operational efficiency.
We are seeking an experienced UKG Systems Administrator to take enterprise ownership of
our UKG workforce management platform, ensuring it is optimised to support workforce
planning, scheduling, time & attendance and labour cost management across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Technology & Project Director, you will act as the enterprise system owner
and subject matter expert for UKG Ready.
You will manage system configuration, governance and optimisation while partnering with
Payroll, IT and operational leaders to ensure the platform delivers measurable outcomes
across workforce productivity, labour cost control and compliance.
Operating within a structured 8-week system release cycle (12–13 releases annually), you
will lead system updates, impact assessments, testing and enterprise rollout.
This role sits at the intersection of Workforce Management, Payroll compliance and
operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
UKG System Administration & Governance
- Act as enterprise UKG system owner and workforce management SME.
- Maintain system configuration across Time & Attendance, Scheduling and Workforce Planning.
- Ensure workforce structures support operational scalability across Retail, Distributionand Transport.
- Maintain system governance, security controls and data integrity.
- Align system configuration with Modern Awards, payroll frameworks and compliance obligations
Workforce Management & Labour Optimisation
- Optimise workforce scheduling and labour allocation through improved system configuration.
- Support forecasting, rostering and workforce planning capability.
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow simplification and system efficiencies.
- Reduce manual processes and system dependency risks.
- Enable workforce data insights for operational decision making.
Release Management & System Enhancements
- Own and manage the UKG release governance framework.
- Assess and prioritise enhancements across UKG Ready / Kronos / WFM modules.
- Lead system testing, validation and deployment activities.
- Conduct cross-functional impact assessments with Payroll, Operations, HR and IT.
- Maintain release roadmaps, change calendars and deployment documentation.
Change Management & Business Adoption
- Translate technical system functionality into operational processes.
- Partner with retail and logistics leadership to embed workforce system changes.
- Develop communication and training support for system enhancements.
- Measure adoption, productivity and labour outcomes following releases.
Systems Integration & Future Capability
- Partner with IT and external vendors on system integrations and architecture.
- Support integration with payroll, HRIS and workforce analytics platforms.
- Contribute to the long-term Workforce Technology roadmap.
About You
You are an experienced Workforce Management Systems professional with strong expertise
in UKG, Kronos or similar WFM platforms.
You combine technical system capability with the ability to partner with operational
stakeholders to drive workforce productivity improvements.
You will bring:
- Proven experience administering UKG, Kronos, Workforce Dimensions or similar
- WFM systems
- Strong knowledge of Time & Attendance, Scheduling and Workforce Optimisation
- Experience supporting enterprise workforce management environments
- Understanding of labour cost management and workforce analytics
- Experience managing system release cycles, updates and testing frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement across Payroll, Operations, HR and IT

- Experience with UKG Ready
- Exposure to complex award environments or multi-site retail / logistics operations
- Experience supporting system integrations, reporting or workforce analytics platforms
