At 4WD Supacentre, our distribution network supports a national retail operation across stores, ecommerce and wholesale channels. Reliable international freight movement is critical to keeping inventory flowing and customers supplied. The Role You will coordinate and monitor the international freight journey from vessel departure through to delivery at our Distribution Centres. We’re looking for a proactive Import Coordinator to manage the end-to-end movement of international containerised freight into our Australian Distribution Centres. Working alongside the Import Logistics & Operations Manager, you will monitor shipments, manage documentation and coordinate multiple logistics partners to ensure cargo arrives on time and without disruption.

This is a fast-paced operational role suited to someone who thrives in complex logistics environments. Key Responsibilities:

Vessel Tracking Monitor vessel schedules and ETAs, aligning inbound freight with DC capacity.

End-to-End Shipment Monitoring Track international shipments through shipping line portals and internal databases.

Stakeholder Liaison Act as the key contact between freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport providers and internal teams.

Compliance Management

Verify import documentation and ensure full compliance with Customs and Quarantine requirements.

Reporting & Data Accuracy Maintain accurate shipment tracking records in Google Sheets / Excel.

Problem Solving Resolve port delays, documentation errors or supply chain disruptions quickly.

Port Operations Coordination

Coordinate wharf cartage and terminal operators to ensure efficient container movement. Skills & Experience

Industry Experience

Background in import logistics, freight forwarding, wharf cartage or international shipping.

Technical Knowledge

Understanding of containerised freight operations and vessel scheduling.

Data Capability

Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills with experience managing logistics databases.

Compliance Awareness

Knowledge of Customs, Quarantine and port operations is highly regarded.
