Representing Toyota and Volkswagen, we are seeking a high-performing Group Buyer to take ownership of vehicle appraisals, trade-ins, and stock acquisition across multiple retail departments. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving stock flow, profitability, and conversion performance across the dealership group.
What You’ll Do
As the Group Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all trade-in appraisals across multiple departments
- Driving a high appraisal-to-deal conversion ratio
- Purchasing and acquiring stock across:
- Private sellers
- Auctions
- Wholesale channels
- Leading service lane valuations and acquisitions
- Identifying and acquiring high-opportunity stock aligned with market trends
- Supporting sales teams with real-time appraisals and deal structuring
- Maintaining strong visibility across showrooms – this is a hands-on, floor-based role
This role is heavily KPI-focused.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in used car buying / appraisal management
- Strong understanding of market pricing, margins, and stock strategy
- Ability to buy right, not just buy volume
- Highly energetic, driven, and competitive mindset
- Strong presence on the showroom floor – you will lead from the front
- Ability to work closely with Sales Managers, Consultants and the Service Department
- Confident in making fast, high-value decisions
