Apprentice Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced diesel mechanics to learn the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems. Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced diesel mechanics in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems
• Learn how to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Learn how to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

• High school certificate or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of motor vehicle engines and related systems
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced diesel mechanics
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in tight spaces
