We’re now looking for an Assistant Chief Concierge who brings heart, precision, and leadership to one of the most important moments of our guests’ journeys: arrival and departure.
This role is the guardian of our driveway experience, the first hello and the final farewell. From orchestrating seamless arrivals to ensuring every goodbye feels warm and personal, you’ll help set the tone for the entire stay.
🌿 The Role at a Glance:
As Assistant Chief Concierge, you’ll work closely with the Chief Concierge to deliver exceptional, intuitive service while leading by example. You’ll be a visible presence, a calm problem-solver, and a passionate host, ensuring every interaction feels effortless, thoughtful, and distinctly 1 Hotels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hotel driveway to ensure safe, smooth vehicle flow and a seamless arrival and departure experience.
- Ensure all guests are warmly greeted, assisted with luggage, and supported from arrival through to farewell.
- Lead the concierge and driveway operation during peak periods, setting the standard for service, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Support the Chief Concierge in leading, training, briefing, and mentoring the Concierge team, including coverage for VIPs, groups, and special requests.
- Collaborate closely with Front Office, Reservations, F&B, Banquets, and Guest Experience to deliver cohesive, personalised service.
- Maintain exceptional local knowledge and assist guests with transport, dining, tickets, and bespoke arrangements.
- Communicate guest preferences and operational updates across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist with rostering, monitor guest feedback, and contribute ideas to continuously improve service, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Act in the Chief Concierge’s absence, maintaining service excellence across all concierge and driveway operations.
🧠 What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment, ideally within Concierge or Guest Services leadership.
- Valid Australian Full Driver’s License (non-negotiable).
- Full working rights in Australia (non-negotiable).
- Strong operational understanding of driveway and front-of-house logistics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine love for hospitality.
- Proven leadership ability in fast-paced, service-driven environments.
- A polished, professional presence and natural warmth.
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7, 365-day operation.
