About Us

In November 2024 we opened Cooroy Radiology, a state-of-the-art radiology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic services to the community. Building on the loyal referrer base from Noosa Radiology and Gympie Radiology, we are committed to extending high-quality imaging and patient-focused care to the Cooroy and hinterland community.

We provide a comprehensive range of imaging and procedural services including MRI, CT, ultrasound, BMD, dental imaging, and general x-ray. All equipment is new, state of the art supported by innovative AI solutions. We are the first MRI service in the region with full Medicare eligibility. Our practice is conveniently located in the heart of Cooroy, offering an ideal work-life balance in a vibrant, community-focused town. The hinterland region has affordable housing options and great access to a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking in the national parks, golf, cycling and horse riding. Enjoy hinterland hospitality at cafes, restaurants, farm gates, a boutique brewery, distillery and clubs. It has untouched natural surrounds and country-town vibes. The Noosa shire beaches are also only a short drive away.

About the Opportunity

As the Medical Imaging Team Leader, you will oversee and support our imaging team of radiographers and sonographers, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, operational efficiency, and continuous professional development. This is a fantastic, full time leadership role for someone passionate about diagnostic imaging and team mentorship.

It is a newly created role and a unique opportunity to be part of something new and exciting. You’ll play a key part in continuing to shape and build the practice in the Noosa hinterland.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the radiography and sonography team to deliver safe, accurate, and timely imaging services.
  • Coordinate daily workflow and ensure efficient use of imaging equipment and resources.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, health and safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Provide expert clinical support and advice to staff, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including staff training and development.
  • Participate in the recruitment, review, and performance management processes.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

About you

  • Degree in Medical Imaging field, appropriate registration and licencing to work clinically in your field of speciality.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical imaging environment.
  • Strong clinical expertise across radiography and ultrasound modalities.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality patient-centred care and teamwork.
  • Ability to lead change and inspire professional growth within the team.
  • Passionate about providing an outstanding service to our patients
