About Plant Health Australia

As the national coordinator for Australia’s plant biosecurity system, PHA has been forging partnerships to strengthen the biosecurity system for the benefit of the economy, environment, and community for 25 years.

A not-for-profit company, PHA is funded by subscriptions from its Members (the Commonwealth, States and Territories and Plant Industry associations) with additional revenue from non-subscription funded projects.

As a skills-based board, candidates with extensive skills and experience in at least one of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • primary producer/grower experience
  • financial and economic acumen
  • sound understanding of governance, as it relates to risk, compliance, financial and human resource management.

We are seeking candidates with passion, drive and a comprehensive understanding of the plant biosecurity industry, to contribute effectively to the PHA Board.

Interviewees will be required to verify all academic qualifications and industry accreditations.
