Payroll and compensation
Award Costing is here
Available to all subscription tiers
Award Costing is now available to all Employment Hero Payroll connected organisations. This includes Roster, Timesheet, Classification, and Shift Conditions Award Costing. Get better insights into your labour costs today.
Include terminated employees in a pay run
Available to all subscription tiers
You can now include employees in a pay run even if their profiles were terminated in the Payroll platform outside of that pay run. This important update helps minimise the risk of missing those crucial final termination payments for employees. Rest easy knowing everyone gets paid what they’re owed, on time.
New flexibility for Employment Agreements
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve added new flexibility in Employment Agreements, allowing you to disable auto-progression for anniversary-based agreements. This enhancement provides greater control over pay rates and gives you more tailored management options.
Payroll Security page
Available to all Payroll subscription tiers
We’ve brought all your Payroll security settings, including passwords and API keys, into a new Security page. Manage your important security information in one spot.
Compensation cycle management flexibility
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
We’ve rolled out updates to compensation cycle management for more flexibility and control during setup. Admins can now toggle between a basic view and an advanced view, skip budget increases, add justifications directly, and tailor change reason enforcement.
Employee data and HR management
Clearer audit trail in the Employee File
Available to Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
We’ve significantly enhanced the user-facing audit trail for Employee File Change (EFC) requests. Now, it’s much easier to read, interpret, and trust the progress of your EFCs – especially when dealing with complex workflows and multiple approvers.
Hide unassigned employees from the Org Chart
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
To make your Org Chart clearer, unassigned employees will now be hidden from view.
An employee is considered “unassigned” if they have:
- No active primary or secondary manager, and
- No active direct reports.
This helps declutter the chart and focuses on your active reporting structure.
Medical disclosure in the EH Work App
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
The Employment Hero Work app now allows your employees to view and edit medical disclosure details directly, making the process smoother than ever – no more switching to the HR platform. Any updates will also sync directly to the HR Platform.
Recruitment and onboarding
One-Click Job Posting widget
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve introduced the One-Click Job Posting widget to your HR web portal dashboard. It allows you to post jobs instantly to the Employment Hero Jobs board, and we’ll automatically match the role with suitable candidates from our talent pool.
Probation workflows migrated to one central place
Available to Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
We’ve migrated all new and existing probation workflows directly into the Onboarding workflow app so you can manage them seamlessly from one central place. We’ve also introduced a new template: “Add New Employee to Probation Review”.
Auto-populated candidate data
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
We’ve improved our recruitment-to-onboarding handover by auto-populating more candidate data like phone number, address, and job title, directly into new employee profiles. Say goodbye to manual entry and hello to streamlined data.
Workflows and approvals
Standardised workflow approvals
Available to Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
Say goodbye to approval process headaches. We’ve made our workflow rules more intuitive and powerful by standardising employee conditions across all modules, including your custom fields.
Restrict admin override in leave workflows
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
For enhanced compliance, we’ve introduced a “Restrict Admin Overrides” toggle for custom leave workflows. When toggled on, this new feature ensures admins can’t bypass approval steps.
Scheduling and time tracking
Rostering and shift management updates
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
Our new Worksite and Position structure comes with enhanced shift visuals, clear budget tracking, and quick bulk shift creation. Get ready to manage your team’s schedule with unprecedented ease and accuracy.
Clock-in capability with multiple shifts
Available to Premium, Platinum, Plus and Unlimited
Employees using the EH Work app or Hero Time Clock can now choose which rostered shift to clock into, which will be useful for those with multiple shifts. This update ensures alignment with your rosters, improving accuracy and simplifying the entire clock-in process.
Compliance and Benefits
Configure certifications at a basic or advanced level
Available to all subscription tiers
We’ve introduced progressive disclosure across key areas of the certification experience, ensuring a clean, intuitive interface.
- Certification Details page: Users can now choose between a Basic or Advanced method for managing individual certification details.
- Configuration section: Admins are provided with both Basic and Advanced options to tailor certification settings.
- Navigation update: Certifications have been moved out of the Settings section and are now accessible directly from the Compliance section in the navigation menu.
Benefits security settings
Available to all subscription tiers
Admins can now customise access to Benefits management with new custom security settings, defining who can view or edit benefits for all employees. This update ensures sensitive data is managed with care, providing more control over your team’s benefits information. Newly assigned employees will also be tagged to ensure more visibility over which Benefits are being assigned.
