The Allied Health Team wants to meet you!
We are looking for an accredited exercise physiologist with a strong exercise prescription and programming skillset who wants to work in and contribute to our multidisciplinary team.
About the role:
- Part-time (25+ hours / 3 days per week) or full-time position available
- Majority of treatment is performed in our 300sqm clinic, alongside your exercise physiologist teammates. Minimal out-of-clinic treatment performed. We occasionally use the Gympie ARC for warm water therapy and also provide some home visits. Check out our team here: https://www.thealliedhealthteam.com.au/gympie
- Daily case conferencing / team meetings – in person as well as via video call to our other clinics when needed.
- If you live on the Sunshine Coast, we have a company van to carpool to Gympie in each day. This 45minute travel time each way is allocated to your weekly paid hours and is a great additional time to discuss clients and debrief from the day in an informal setting.
- Assess and reassess clients as needed.
- Develop exercise programs for a diverse range of clientele based on the their goals and health history.
- Liaise with your allied health teammates (currently exercise physiologists and dietitians) to create inter-professional treatment plans where necessary.
- Deliver on these treatment plans.
- Develop and prescribe unsupervised exercise programs for clients to perform on their own.
- Accurately and promptly record your treatment notes and complete reports in a timely fashion.
- Contribute to and improve the team performance through your skillset.
- Build long lasting and strong relationships in the community.

The clinic:
- We have our own stand alone clinic which is ~300sqm. There’s multiple private treatment rooms, all of our equipment is specifically suited to our clientele (not just your standard gym equipment) and picked out by the Director and exercise physiologist – Ryan.
- We have worked with the Gympie ARC since it opened to perform warm-water therapy. You’d have the option to utilise this setting, if you want. Not confident in the water? No worries – we can train you up
- Community / home visits are part of our duty of care; however with so many other mobile exercise physiology businesses in the community our goal is primarily to help people get out of their comfort zone and come into clinic and have that social interaction

- ESSA Accreditation
- Online PRODA account with the ability to create provider numbers
- NDIS Yellow Card
- NDIS Worker’s Module completed
- NDIS Effective Communication Course completed
- Blue Card
- First Aid
- CPR
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance – $20M each
- Police Check.
