Senior Occupational Therapist

Full-time/ Part-time position

We are looking for passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our North metropolitan therapy team. This role will be based at our Morley Hub. However, there will be opportunities to support clients, families and other therapists across the metropolitan area.

About the role

SensesWA Occupational Therapists have a community-based role delivering interventions where our clients live their lives: in homes, schools, childcare centres and other community settings, as well as in our Morley or Armadale therapy hubs. Therapists work closely in dedicated and supportive transdisciplinary teams to provide family and person-centred evidence-based supports to our clients. Our goal is to enable our clients to live their best lives!

Our therapists work with infants, children and/or adults with various disability diagnoses including ASD, intellectual disability, vision and hearing impairments as well as a range of other conditions/disabilities. Our therapists work within a general caseload of paediatric and adult clients with the flexibility to tailor caseloads based on individual interests and expertise.

What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • NDIS Workers Screening check, Working with Children Check, First Aid certification and proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and deliver person-centred evidence-informed services in a range practice areas and different settings.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, their therapy team and support networks.
  • Previous experience working with clients with disabilities and their families is highly desirable but not essential
