Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting

- ProAct Employment Services partner with NDIS Employers/Participants, providing Support Services for Individual NDIS clients who are elderly, suffer mental health, have a disability or are in need of personal care assistance.

- Our employers, located in Oatley NSW, are currently seeking Nurses who are reliable, loyal, enthusiastic, and willing to form a long-term relationship with the NDIS client and his family. The NDIS client is a happy and charming 9 year old boy called Ben. He has cerebral palsy and requires 24 hour care so his parents are seeking AHPRA registered nurses or AHPRA registered enrolled nurses to assist them. The successful candidates will take on regular shifts which could be morning, afternoon or overnight. The morning shift involves taking Ben to physiotherapy and school, the afternoon shift comprises looking after him from the time he gets home from school until his bed time. The night shift is an awake shift where the main task is to monitor his sleep and reposition Ben as required. The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be airway maintenance but it is also necessary to be alert for seizures and other hazards. A drivers license and the willingness to drive Ben to therapy in his parents’ wheelchair van will be very advantageous. Experience with children, airway maintenance, seizure management and disability care would also be helpful.

- • 3x Weekday Afternoons• (3:00 pm to 7:30 pm) and • 2x Weekday Mornings• (7:00 am to 10:00 am)

- • x4 Awake Overnight Saturday• (7:30 pm to 7:30 am) and • potential day shifts throughout week• .

- Please note – The following Shifts may change after employment has commenced – you will be informed and asked if happy to change your set shifts.

- Duties: All Registered Nurse/Support Worker duties both in-home care and community care including knowledge of:

- • Seizure Management – Paid Online Training will be provided if needed.

- • Airway Maintenance.

- • Administration of Medication.

- • GJ Tube Feeding

- • Domestic Duties and Care – you will need to do this a part of your Duties if you are happy to proceed.
