Part-Time HR Manager

Description

As our HR Manager, you will take ownership of all core HR functions, providing both strategic direction and hands-on support across the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and team managers to drive employee engagement, compliance, and a strong company culture.

  • Part-Time position (9am-2:30pm Monday-Friday)

  • Salary range between $50 000-$60 000 based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Provide expert guidance on New Zealand employment law and best practice
  • Maintain and update HR policies, employment agreements, and compliance procedures
  • Support managers with performance reviews, KPIs, and employee development
  • Handle employment relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
  • Oversee training and development planning
  • Coordinate payroll input and support remuneration reviews
  • Champion health, safety, and employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Lead culture and engagement activities across the business

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally in construction, development, or similar industries
  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment law and HR practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently
  • Experience with HRIS systems and modern HR tools
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field
