The Role
This is a hands-on Project Manager role for an experienced, ambitious professional who is responsible for strategically managing and overseeing the construction of medium-to-large scale commercial projects. The role will include management of the project life cycle from initial design consultation to hand over and will require excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills, high attention to detail to ensure quality construction, and outstanding organisational, budget management and logistics management skills to facilitate the smooth running and delivery of the project within timeframes and cost constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
· Manage the design and construction of the building project from initiation to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans
· Manage project stakeholders, including the client, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities
· Coordinate and supervise the work of the project team, including the Design Manager, Project Administrator, Site Manager, and Project Coordinators
· Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards
· Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Director and the client
· Manage project variations and negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and stakeholders
· Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all members of the project team
· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety

The Candidate
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial building projects
· Exposure to either new hotels and/or hotel refurbishments, or high-end commercial fit-outs necessary
· Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
· Strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills
· Ability to lead and manage a team of professionals and work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and contractors
· Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
· Familiarity with project management software and tools
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
· A current driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as require
