Summary

New Life Construction is growing and we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Carlton to provide vital support to the New Life team. This is a varied role which plays a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our construction operations.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and managing reception.
  • General Administration, including email management, scheduling appointments and preparing documentation.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders for materials and equipment.
  • Assist with project compliance requirements. This may include managing permits, licenses, and safety documentation.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and registration.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Aroflo or similar construction management software.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional phone etiquette and clear written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
