Background
The Ravenswood Caravan Park (“Park”) is located next to the iconic Ravenswood Hotel on the banks of the Murray River in Ravenswood, Western Australia. This picturesque location is 45 minutes from the Perth CBD and is less than ten minutes to Mandurah. The Park comprises mainly permanent residents.
The current operator also operates the Ravenswood Hotel. The successful candidate will report to the proprietors of the Hotel.
The Role
The Park requires a full-time Caravan Park Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the Park with the following key responsibilities:
- Assessing applications made to the Park by new tenants
- Documenting leases and maintaining other required paperwork
- Advertising sites for lease or sale, selling caravans owned by the Park and facilitating the sale of tenant owned vans
- Maintaining the grounds and improvements to a high standard
- Cleaning the Park’s ablution blocks and common facilities on a regular basis
- Undertaking and overseeing maintenance of the Park’s infrastructure
- Responding to enquiries and liaising with tenants at the Park
- Administering the Park’s rules
- Issuing statutory notices where required
- Sending invoices and collecting rent and electricity outgoings
- Being responsible for all administrative tasks required to operate the Park
- This role will be supported by the management at the Hotel and the Group’s head office team.
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in managing a caravan park is essential with experience in maintenance and grounds keeping being highly regarded. Some administrative experience may also be advantageous, but ideally, we are after someone that can have a good rapport with our permanent residents and solve problems as they arise.
Candidates will be required to provide a national police clearance certificate and one recent referee available for discussion with proprietors after being shortlisted.
What We Offer
Salary will be based on the experience of the candidate. A small on-site house/office will be included in the successful candidate’s remuneration package.
The successful candidate will report to the Directors of the Ravenswood Hotel and will work with them to improve the Park and the experience for tenants.
