About the Role
As a Senior Radiographer in the Interventional Cardiology Services team, you will be at the forefront of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging, playing a vital role in complex interventional procedures. Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee interventional radiography procedures, particularly in cardiology.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and best practices in imaging.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide mentorship and training to junior radiographers and staff.
Conduct quality assurance checks and routine maintenance of imaging equipment.
Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care with sensitivity and professionalism.
Skills, Qualifications, & Certifications Required
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging or Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent).
Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner.
Valid Radiation Use Licence issued by the relevant NSW authority.
Preferred Certifications:
Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography or similar specialization.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (desirable).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Radiographer, with at least 2 years in interventional or cardiac imaging.
Proficiency with angiography, fluoroscopy, and other advanced imaging modalities.
Additional Requirements:
Commitment to maintaining CPD (Continuing Professional Development) as per AHPRA standards.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills with advanced imaging equipment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and support team dynamics.
