ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets. The BDM will work closely with various departments to ensure the successful implementation of business development strategies. Experience within Telecommunications in a similar role is a must.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth and to:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s client base
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Work closely with our Tier 1 Vendors, such as Telstra and Cisco
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients
  • Collaborate with the marketing and leadership team to develop and implement marketing strategies
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities and progress

KPI’s will be documented within the first 8 weeks to outline the role’s quantitative performance metrics, including:

– Revenue Growth: Achieve a specific percentage increase in revenue from new business opportunities.

– Client Acquisition: Secure a set number of new clients within the first year.

– Sales Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with a certain number of qualified leads.

– Cross-Selling and Upselling: Achieve targets for cross-selling and upselling to existing clients.

– Strategic Partnerships: Establish a certain number of strategic partnerships or alliances.

– Experience within telecommunications, specifically with Telstra

– Experience with the Cisco technology stack

– Strong attention to detail

– Exceptional communication skills

– Familiarity with ISO 27001 Security frameworks
