HBT Services QLD is seeking a motivated and skilled Field Service Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting new opportunity to join a local organisation operating globally.

HBT GmbH, headquarters in Luenen, NRW, Germany, is a world-class machine manufacturer and fully integrated single solution provider – specialising in systems and equipment for underground coal mining. The company exports its high-performance longwall mining equipment to all major mining markets worldwide, strategically located in 15 countries including Australia.

The core HBT facilities have the capability for research, development, design, manufacture and testing of longwall mining equipment in-house. All HBT products and systems are produced to the highest standards and compliant with international regulatory requirements.

In addition to machine manufacturing, HBT also manufactures high-quality OE parts and provides world-class support services for their equipment to ensure their customers succeed.

HBT Services QLD is responsible aftermarket service delivery including longwall and development equipment overhauls, Field Service and Parts across QLD and operates under three (3) plants, being Overhauls, Gearbox repairs and Warehouse.

About the role:

The Field Service Coordinator QLD will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the QLD Service team ensuring the smooth operation of field service activities in the QLD region.

The Field Service Coordinator’s key responsibilities are:

• Coordinating field service operations in the QLD region to ensure timely and effective delivery of services.

• Liaising with customers to understand their service requirements and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.

• Scheduling and assigning service engineers to customer sites, optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.

• Providing guidance and support to service engineers to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Assisting in the development and implementation of field service agreements in collaboration with the Service Training Manager.

• Monitoring field service activities, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to the Service Training Manager.

• Maintaining Service training and induction requirements to ensure serviceability of the team.

• Upholding HBT’s safety culture by ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety policies and practices.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and promote repeat business.

• Assisting in training initiatives for service engineers to ensure competence in servicing longwall equipment.

• Attend monthly customer meeting

• Prepare business proposals to customers for field service support

About you:

Qualifications/ Experience:

• Degree or trade-related qualifications in relevant field.

• 3+ years of experience in a field service coordination or similar role, preferably within the mining industry.

Desirable Criteria:

• Skilled in Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook etc)

• Proven leadership and customer delivery skills.

• Great communication & interpersonal skills.

• Well-developed time management skills

• Strong attention to detail & sound administration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
