Due to ongoing success and growth GTE Technology is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to expand their Engineering team!
As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering and design expertise to the company’s existing core product range to ensure the highest standards of quality and service to customers. Leading technical reviews of new & existing equipment, providing end-to-end engineering advice to the wider business and mentoring other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee GTE equipment design and manufacture from confirmation of order to installation on site
Ongoing liaising with key stakeholders to identify any potential issues and to provide ongoing support
Assess and make recommendations for modifications/redesign as required
Complete new machine designs for new and emerging markets identified by the sales and management team
Recommendations for product improvements to achieve improved material quality, lower costs and/or improved reliability
Proactively mentor other members of the engineering team to develop technical skills.
About you:
Extensive experience in a Mechanical Engineering role, preferably in an equipment manufacturing environment
Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering
Project Management experience desirable
Proficiency in Solidworks
Experience with mechanical testing and analysis techniques
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and effectively manage competing and changing priorities
Experience with electrical and pneumatic systems
