About the role
As a Crop Care Supervisor based at our Tatura, you’ll manage crop care and cultivation, making sure your team completes their tasks to meet quality standards and key performance goals. Key responsibilities for the Crop Care Supervisor role include:
People Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
- Plan rosters and delegate tasks based on workload forecasts
- Monitor team performance, manage KPIs, and support staff development
- Track and manage labour hours and promote employee engagement
Crop Work Operations
- Coordinate labour strategy with the Growing team
- Ensure crop care tasks are completed on time and meet quality/KPI targets
- Support IPM programs and seasonal clean-up
- Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools
- Participate in and oversee crop care tasks like twisting, pruning, and pollinating
- Report crop and environmental issues and maintain cleanliness
Administration & Reporting
- Use labour management software to monitor team performance
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and compliance with procedures
- Manage documentation like SOPs, risk assessments, and training records
- Conduct stocktakes and report maintenance needs
Continuous Improvement
- Engage in ongoing training and performance reviews
- Support fellow supervisors and cover higher duties as needed
- Stay up to date with industry standards and improve processes.
