Electrical Designer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join Waterline. You will use your technical design expertise to deliver efficient and high-quality design solutions that help our industry partners operate safely and productively. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of projects and industries while applying your skills in design, drafting, and client collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate and efficient electrical designs, drawings, and documentation in line with Australian and client standards
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to scope projects, develop designs, and review technical outputs
• Perform redline mark-ups, redraws, and design updates as required
• Undertake site visits to gather dimensions, audit drawings, and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor and support junior drafters and contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and standards
• Maintain a high standard of design quality through thorough checks and adherence to established templates
• Champion Waterline’s Purpose, Values, and Brand in all client and team interactions

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical design
• Exposure to Australian Industry (including Mining, Energy, Chemicals, Oil & Gas)
• Strong AutoCAD skills and experience with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Australian design standards (A1102) and client CAD standards
• Experience with multidisciplinary project collaboration and full project lifecycle delivery advantageous
