About the role
The Service Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of data collection, analysis and reporting in relation to GFA’s clinical service delivery. Reporting to the Director – Service Engagement and Impact, you will ensure the quality, accuracy and accessibility of all service -related data to inform and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and understanding of the evolving trends within our service delivery. The incumbent will work across all of GFA’s clinical services and will be responsible for identifying evolving insights within our service delivery.
This role will provide centralised data management support and will be instrumental in extracting, analysing and interpreting data to drive actionable insights and strategic decision-making. Whilst the role will report to the Director – Service Engagement and Impact, the incumbent will work closely with various members of the Programs, Clinical and Marketing teams.
The successful candidate will be flexible to changing situations and have a can-do attitude. They will have an in-depth understanding of the use of data to drive service improvement within a healthcare setting and will be comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
Key Accountabilities
• Refinement and monitoring of GFA’s monitoring and evaluation framework/program logic for key clinical services.
• Development of all data collection instruments, implementation, analysis and report writing for all regular internal monitoring and evaluation activities, such as client and clinician feedback surveys, workforce development cohort surveys, clinical efficacy studies and conference evaluation surveys.
• Development and implementation of a client exit survey, with ongoing analysis, identification of trends and feedback on relevant insights to the Clinical and Programs teams.
• Management of all regular data clean-up, maintenance and archiving, including developing and implementing a regular data audit process, to ensure ongoing accuracy, completeness and quality of all GFA service data.
• Continually reviewing of organisational reporting dashboards to identify any data quality / accuracy issues and rectify any identified issues in consultation with the relevant team.
• Management of the relationship with external IT service provider(s) for the maintenance of internal reports within Power BI.
Selection Criteria
Essential
• Demonstrated experience in the generation of reports, factsheets and reporting dashboards, including experience using Power Bi.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of surveys, including analysis and report writing.
• Proven expertise in data collection, maintenance and management, (ideally within a healthcare setting) and comprehensive understanding of, and compliance with, best practice data management processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of the integration of data between IT systems and experience with solving data-related issues that arise from that integration.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to understand data needs, clarify reporting requirements, and ensure insights are relevant and actionable.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and report writing skills.
• Experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis.
• Highly efficient and organised, able to work effectively with minimal supervision, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
• Previous experience in the NFP sector would be an advantage, but not required.
• Experience with the development and use of logical frameworks would be an advantage, but not required.

Terms of Employment
This position is full-time and will initially be contracted till June 2026, aligned to Grant Funding, with the possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position, with some time required at the GFA office in North Sydney.
