The Opportunity
We are looking for a confident and capable leader passionate about delivering exceptional client management while overseeing a key security portfolio. This role is all about people both the clients we serve and the team you will lead.
Based in Perth, with regular site visits to the Port, you will be the primary point of contact for a major client, ensuring our service is professional, reliable, and aligned with their needs. At the same time, you will lead and manage the security team across this portfolio, driving performance, supporting development and training, and maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
You will be supported by a Mobilisation and Operations Coordinator and report directly to the General Manager – Operational Services.
This senior position demands strong judgment, independence, and a proactive mindset. You will be trusted to make key decisions, resolve issues before they escalate, nurture a well trained and engaged team, and ensure smooth, efficient operations to deliver a premium service to our clients.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and oversee daily security operations and manage your team effectively
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as the key contact
- Oversee recruitment, training, rostering, and staff performance
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and client protocols
- Drive continuous improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency
- Provide onsite support at least once per month
- Conduct audits and refine risk and emergency response plans
About You
- Experienced leader with 3+ years in operations, client delivery or account management
- Skilled at managing people and building strong client partnerships
- Security operations experience is a strong advantage, particularly in port or critical infrastructure environments
- Holds relevant certifications or be willing to obtain Security Operations Cert II/III, current WA Security Licence
- Hold National Police Clearance, First Aid, and driver’s licence
- Knowledgeable in compliance, safety standards, and security technology and/or willingness and interest to learn
- Calm, clear communicator who thrives under pressure and drives continuous improvement
