The Role: Senior Quality Engineer

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring software quality and reliability, driving test automation strategies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing digital solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop & Implement Automated Testing – Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
- API Testing & Automation – Perform hands-on API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI to validate integrations and backend services.
- Build & CI/CD Integration – Implement continuous testing practices, integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Performance & Security Testing – Collaborate with teams to conduct performance testing using JMeter or Gatling and contribute to security testing strategies.
- Test Case Design & Execution – Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, ensuring full test coverage across functional and non-functional areas.
- Collaborate with Development Teams – Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to define quality standards, improve test efficiency, and advocate for best practices.
- BDD/TDD Practices – Leverage Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies using Cucumber (Gherkin syntax) to align test scenarios with business requirements.
- Cloud & DevOps Exposure – Gain experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with opportunities to work with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in test automation using Java, with a strong understanding of OOP, collections, multithreading, and exception handling.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber for UI test automation.
- Strong API testing experience using REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI.
- Proficiency with build tools like Maven or Gradle and version control systems such as Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Experience integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
- Basic understanding of security testing concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and advocate for quality best practices.
Bonus Skills:
- Mobile automation experience using Appium.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Strong understanding of GitOps principles for managing test environments.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or ISTQB are a plus.
