The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance team on a full time, permanent basis. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting audits, managing group consolidations, and driving financial insights across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L and balance sheet)
• Managing tax compliance: GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Income Tax Returns
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies
• Collecting and analysing data for estimates and forecasts
• Preparing KPI and cashflow reports
• Managing and controlling expenditure and cashflow
• Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
• Completing monthly journal entries
• Responding to financial queries and conducting internal checks/audits
• Reviewing financial records for accuracy and compliance
• Supervising and assisting AP/AR processes
• Supporting budgeting, project work, and system/process improvements
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team
About You
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused individual who brings:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• CPA or ACCA qualification (preferred)
• At least 8 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, tax, and auditing standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to improvement
