💰 Pay Rate: SCHADS Award Level 2.1

📅 Shifts: Weekdays and Week-end

•Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

•Sleepover Shift: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM (Next Day)

🩺 About the Client & Your Role

You will be supporting a non-verbal female client with the following diagnoses:

•Schizophrenia

•Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

•Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

•Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

•Stroke History

•Epilepsy

Your role will focus on safety, dignity, and quality of life through high-level, person-centered care.

💡 Key Responsibilities

🗣️ Non-Verbal Communication:

•Understand and respond to emotional and physical cues

•Monitor and document behavioral changes

🧘 Behavioral & Emotional Regulation:

•Use trauma-informed strategies to support de-escalation

•Prevent and respond to instances of aggression or self-harm

💊 Health & Medication Support:

•Administer and monitor prescribed medications

•Recognize health deterioration and escalate as necessary

🚶 Mobility & Rehabilitation:

•Assist with transfers, mobility aids, and personal hygiene

•Support rehabilitation activities and independence

🏠 Daily Living Support:

•Provide respectful personal care

•Encourage engagement in meaningful routines

🧠 Is This You?

We’re looking for someone with:

✔️ 2+ years of hands-on experience in Disability, Aged Care, or NDIS services

✔️ Deep understanding of non-verbal communication techniques

✔️ Proven crisis management & de-escalation skills

✔️ A calm, resilient demeanor in high-stress or emotionally challenging situations

✔️ Genuine compassion and patience in all client interactions

🎓 Essential Requirements

📌 Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (Highly Preferred)

📌 NDIS Worker Screening Check (current or willing to obtain)

📌 Employee Working with Children Check (NSW)

📌 National Police Clearance (valid within 12 months)

📌 Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

📌 Australian Driver’s License + own reliable, insured vehicle
