We have an exciting opportunity open up for a People and Culture Generalist to join our HQ team! We are seeking an exceptional and brand-aligned team-member to embrace our by charlotte vision and culture to deliver meaningful employee experiences.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will report to the People and Culture Manager and work closely with other key internal by charlotte stakeholders. Key duties include:
Partner with business leaders and managers on position descriptions, role adverts, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and separations.Act as the first point of contact for HR compliance matters, including awards and employment legislation.Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, reporting, and maintenance of HRIS records.Oversee onboarding programs and the Learning Management System (LMS), supporting training initiatives and rollouts.Conduct WHS compliance checks, risk assessments, and support injury management and return-to-work programs.Promote a safety-first culture across the organisation.Coach managers on effective people management practices and support performance improvement processes.Provide initial support on employee relations issues, escalating when required.Conduct employee surveys and feedback initiatives to assess and improve culture.Support employee engagement strategies to boost satisfaction, motivation, and retention.Promote diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging across the workforce.ABOUT YOU
You’re a proactive and people-focused HR generality with 2-4 years’ experience in People & Culture, ideally in retail or a similar fast-paced environment. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you balance professionalism with a warm, approachable style, building strong relationships at all levels. You’re confident navigating HRIS and payroll systems (bonus points for Employment Hero) and have a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards. With a positive, adaptable mindset and a genuine eagerness to learn, you embody the by charlotte values and thrive in a collaborative, high-energy team.
