Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) is a professional services company providing a wide range of technical support and aerodrome management services to aerodrome owners and operators across Australia. Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits, and ongoing daily operations.

About the role

AMS is currently seeking fulltime and casual Aviation Screening Officers at various regional and remote locations on a FIFO (Perth) basis. Rostering arrangements are subject to site requirements.

An Aviation Screener’s role is diverse, but ultimately focuses on ensuring the safety, security and integrity of the airport, aircraft, and passengers. The Aviation Screening Officer is responsible for providing a positive customer experience with attention to aviation security regulations at the Airport. The Officer would be involved with and responsible for the completion of all aviation screening tasks. The candidate will have demonstrated abilities to work in a fast-paced changing environment, with a willingness to learn and train in the aviation sector. Ideally you will have proven experience and knowledge in the customer service industry.

About You

You understand the vital importance of aerodromes to the aviation industry and you already know this niche sector has a lot going for it! AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you’ll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:

• Either a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or ability to obtain

• Full training may be provided to suitable applicants

• Ability to attain Dangerous Goods Awareness Training and First Aid certificate

• Hold or have the ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work well in public and a team

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• A professional attitude and excellent grooming standards

• High level of interpersonal and customer service skills

• Current drivers license

In recent years Aerodrome Management Services has expanded greatly and now employs more than 160 personnel throughout Australia, including aerodrome inspectors, trainers, works managers, compliance auditors, engineers, draftsman, operational advisors, ground handlers, refuellers, security personnel and managers.
