We are currently seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

Essential Criteria:

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds — experience is not essential, but a strong willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the lives of others is highly valued.

Applicants should ideally demonstrate:

  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • Physical capacity to carry out support tasks including personal care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ADSR’s values of integrity, potential, individuality, and relationships
  • Comfort using technology (smartphones, tablets, computers)
  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • COVID-19 vaccination, including at least one booster
  • Ability to respond calmly and supportively in challenging situations
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • You will support people with disability to live independently and engage meaningfully in their daily lives and community. Duties may include:
  • Personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, toileting, assistance with mobility)
  • Household support (e.g. cleaning, shopping, meal preparation
  • Social and community participation (e.g. outings, programs, appointments)
  • Emotional support and companionship
  • Following positive behaviour support plans
  • Record keeping, documentation, and incident reporting
  • Medication administration (if required)
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Prior experience in the disability, aged care or community services sectors
  • Understanding of the NDIS and person-centred practices
