This vineyard hand role is a hands-on, permanent role, as part of our vine care team. With a focus on precision and quality the vineyard hand team are responsible for all aspects of vine care. The vineyard hand team are passionate about vine care and excited about the challenge of growing quality grapes for wine production.
This role is diverse and as part of a holistic vineyard and farming enterprise the successful applicant may also undertake farming, sheep/cattle grazing, maintenance, machinery and other technical activities. This role suits an all-rounder who enjoys working in a team environment to undertake the tasks that are the first step in the process of crafting quality wine.

Pruning vines with a focus on sap-flow pruning and vine longevityTraining young vines with a focus on structure and vine healthFoliage wire placement to support vine growthShoot and bunch thinning and positioning for balancing vine productionNetting the vineyard to protect from birdsHand harvesting grapes and basic logisticsGeneral vineyard maintenanceBasic machinery operationSkills and Qualifications:
Be able to work flexible hours and willing to work overtime during peak periods Have an interest in viticulture, organics and regenerative agriculture Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Practical experience in a vineyard is preferred but not essential Be willing to work both independently and in a teamExperience with livestock and general farming operations is preferred but not essentialAttention to detail, reliability and a collaborative attitude
