We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Mosman Head Office on a full or part-time basis. This position presents an excellent opportunity to take the financial lead on an international ecommerce business and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial health.
You’ll have the knowledge and confidence to oversee financial systems, manage budgets, deliver accurate reporting and provide actionable insights to support executive decision-making. You’ll be working closely with leadership, ensuring financial clarity and operational efficiency, enabling the next phase of growth for the brand.

You will thrive in this role if you can take on these key responsibilities;
- Oversee daily financial management including transactions and reconciliations, supplier payments
- Provide efficient cash flow management
- Prepare, review, and deliver monthly management reports and dashboards to key stakeholders
- Lead the month-end close process including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Support GM in forecasting and budgeting process, and co-ordinate the monthly budget review process
- Manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring it is processed accurately and on time, including superannuation, benefits, and tax withholdings
- Liaise with external accountants and regulatory bodies to ensure tax compliance in both jurisdictions (e.g., BAS, GST, Sales Tax, etc.)
- Coordinate and manage the company’s insurance policies, renewals, and claims. Working with brokers and internal teams to ensure coverage aligns with operational risk
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an eCommerce business.
- High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and a strong working knowledge of Xero and Employment Hero.
- Experience with international operations, particularly across the US and Australia.
- Understanding of tax obligations and compliance, ability to keep up to date as these change and inform management accordingly.
