What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to our National HR Business Partnering Manager, you’ll be a business partner supporting portfolio leaders and their teams. You’ll lead culture and engagement initiatives, coach leadership, manage performance, and own the end-to-end employee lifecycle. You’ll tackle complex ER/IR challenges, workers’ compensation, injury and return-to-work management, and drive EVP projects and transformation initiatives that accelerate business growth and elevate the employee experience.

Your mission:

  • Be a trusted advisor to leaders, delivering data-driven coaching and actionable insights to shape people and culture across your portfolio.
  • Lead evidence-based employment investigations and represent the business at Fair Work.
  • Collaborate with the HR Leadership Team and business leaders to champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and an award-winning workplace culture that’s as strong as our brand.
  • Own the complete team member journey, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring seamless experiences.
  • Drive and support innovative EVP projects and business transformation initiatives that fuel sales and revenue growth.
  • Use the PULSE framework KPIs to partner with leaders, optimize team performance, and deliver measurable results.

What You Bring

You’re a resilient, high-EQ HR pro who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’re hands-on, solutions-oriented, and confidently navigate complex people matters with professionalism and integrity. Ownership and accountability are in your DNA.

You’ll have:

  • Minimum 7 years as a HR generalist with a track record of delivering people solutions and influencing leaders to drive results.
  • Tertiary qualification essential; retail industry experience and operating in high-growth businesses preferred.
  • Deep ER/IR expertise, with proven experience managing matters through to Fair Work hearings and conciliation.
  • Strong end-to-end experience managing workers’ compensation claims, injury management, and return-to-work.
  • Exceptional communication skills — you influence with clarity, empathy, and authority.
  • A proactive mindset with innovative ideas that drive efficiency, productivity, and business impact.
  • Experience with HR systems — bonus points for Employment Hero users!
