We are looking for an experienced Therapist that holds a registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Speech Pathologist.
Our Coordinators – Therapy work in a collaborative environment, teaming up with the Leadership team, Practice Excellence Panel and Senior Therapists to ensure individual and group services are delivered to the highest possible quality. Whether you’re taking your first step up in a leadership role or bringing years of experience with you, you’ll know that you are contributing to something that makes a difference.
This is a role you can make your own with the flexibility of either a part-time role focusing on the development, delivery, quality and governance of therapy services or a full-time role split between coordination and providing professional services to clients within your discipline.
- Lead and coordinate therapy services and programs across Queensland, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and community needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and practices, and support internal and external audits and safeguarding enquiries.
- Support professional development of the therapy team in collaboration with leadership and Practice Excellence, focusing on competencies and evidence-based practices.
- Develop and review resources, processes, and procedures to enhance service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, professionals, and government agencies to promote understanding and implementation of therapy services.
- Promote services and share knowledge through stakeholder meetings, conferences, education forums, disability networks, and internal communications.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting, aligned with Autism Queensland’s standards, legislative requirements, and funding contracts.
- Monitor program budgets and report on financial performance as required.
- Provide clinical leadership as a Senior Professional in your discipline, offering mentoring and on-the-job support to therapy staff.
Please note this role requires a tertiary degree in Psychology, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy (and membership/registration with the relevant professional body – AHPRA, SPA etc.) and leadership experience within Disability and/or Special Education sector(s).
