The opportunity
Cancer Council WA has an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Officer to join our Engagement team. If you love good customer service (and are exceptional at it!) and are passionate about making a difference, then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for someone to help us “paint the town yellow” and assist with the delivery of seamless campaigns and events across the Marketing and Fundraising Division.
Working within the Marketing and Fundraising Division, reporting to the Engagement and Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for the supporter experience journey and seamless delivery for campaigns and events.
Based in Subiaco, this position is part-time (0.9 FTE). Some outside of hours work will be required for event support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Being the first point of contact for our supporters and fundraisers via phone and email; and delivering outstanding customer experience aligned with the brand values of Cancer Council WA
- Championing the supporter experience journey for all campaigns and events
- Nurturing supporter experience via outbound calls
- Managing email inboxes in a timely manner
- Providing exceptional support for all Fundraising campaigns, events, and partnerships
- Coordinating event logistics including run sheets, bump in and bump out, signage and marquees for community events, managing event kits and packs, taking photos and supporting social media coverage of events and fundraising activities
- Managing the merchandise, inventory and fulfilment programs as required
- Coordinating third-party suppliers, merchandise, event branding and vendors
- Assisting with post-campaign reporting and tracking requirements
- Delivering high-level administrative and data support to the Engagement team
- Providing administrative, logistic, and operational support for the planning and implementation of all Fundraising campaigns
- Facilitating data entry into the CRM for donations and fundraising campaigns and reporting as required by the Engagement team
- Preparing invoices, tax receipts and manage the financial reconciliation of the Engagement teams portfolio
- Cultivating strong relationships internally and externally
- Representing Cancer Council WA at appropriate meetings, seminars and other events.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in event co-ordination and high level, multifaceted event administrative support
- Experience in marketing campaign implementation
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level organisational skills and ability to work under pressure with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CRM and database management experience
- Ability to work unsupervised to achieve deadlines
- Experience in Fundraising will be highly regarded
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Events, or similar will be well regarded
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of Cancer Council WA
