About the Role
In this position, you will be expected to interpret business and functional requirements, understand system impacts and have the ability to design, test and document test plans to ensure the system changes improve customer business efficiency, productivity and compliance. Success in the role will require a high level of communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. This role is offered on a maximum-term basis of 1 year within BAU.
Key Responsibilities
- Involved with the testing practices of design, estimation and development of tests for new and amended software or services.
- Involved with ensuring that Functional, Integration, Regression, Pre-Release, Load/Performance, Security testing meets defined business requirements and no defects are introduced in any areas of the system.
- Involved with ensuring that Non-Functional requirements (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability, portability, performance and security) are met with testing.
- Ensures that automated tests are preferred over manual tests where appropriate.
- Performs reviews of test suites, designs and cases.
- Identifies defects, problems, issues and/or risks and raise work items on the backlog as required.
- Participate in knowledge sharing to ensure HAMBS key information is available and accessible to all, in line with Knowledge Management Framework and relevant processes.
About You
- An understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and testing practices.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a commercial environment
- Proficiency in business process mapping.
- Proven success in leading and managing small to medium-sized software development projects.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile software delivery principles.
- Desirable:Tertiary level qualifications in IT, ISTQB Foundation Certification (Software Testing) or related discipline.
