About the Role
We are seeking for an Accounts Officer to join our Adelaide team. You will provide efficient, accounts payable and receivable services at HAMBS, assisting with financial analysis, reporting and providing general support to the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, review and prepare invoices in readiness for processing, including ensuring that invoice details are in line with determined requirements and proper authorisation has been obtained.
- Manage the Purchase Order process and provide accounts payable and purchase order advice, guidance and information to staff across the business in addition to vendors and suppliers as required.
- Maintain finance system integrity across AP/AR/Bank/ General Ledger.
- Processing and reconciliation of corporate credit card transactions.
- Ensure there is a smooth, transparent billing process and that customer billing is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reconcile the general ledger / trial balance to supporting schedules.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, disputes or other irregularities including investigating and resolving customer queries.
- Ensure appropriate taxation treatment and recording of all financial transactions and
advise Financial Controller of any queries.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience (essential).
- Member of a recognised Accounting Body (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and receivable.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to approach and communicate with people at all levels.
- An excellent eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Understanding and application of MS Office Suite (intermediate proficiency) and any other programs/applications as required including but not limited to: Intermediate proficiency in MYOB.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
