Job Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Passive Fire Technician to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire protection systems in various buildings and construction sites. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of passive fire protection products and their application methods.

Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection products

- Strong technical skills in installing and maintaining passive fire protection systems

- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues

Responsibilities:

- Install, inspect, repair, maintain and test passive fire protection systems such as fire doors, smoke seals, penetration seals etc.

- Read blueprints/drawings to identify installation requirements for various types of buildings.

- Coordinate with other tradespeople on construction sites for smooth completion of projects.

- Conduct site inspections to assess potential risks or hazards that may affect the performance of the installed systems.

- Provide reports on completed works detailing compliance with relevant regulations/standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Passive Fire Technician in Building & Construction Industry

- Relevant trade qualification such as Certificate III in Fire Protection (Passive), Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing or equivalent

- Current driver's license

- White Card Certification (Workplace Health & Safety)

- Comprehensive understanding of Australian building codes/standards related to Passive Fire Protection
