Data Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and infrastructure. The Data Engineer will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data is properly collected, stored, and analyzed to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data systems and infrastructure
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs
• Develop and implement data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
• Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing data validation and cleansing processes
• Optimize data systems for performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and SQL
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
