Job Title: Retail Sales Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at our retail store in West Mackay, Queensland. The successful candidate will have a strong background in retail customer service, with preferred experience in pumping and irrigation products. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their product inquiries, and driving sales to achieve targets.

Responsibilities:
1. Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance when needed.
2. Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable pumping and irrigation products based on their requirements.
3. Provide product information, specifications, pricing details, and answer any related questions.
4. Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
5. Maintain an organized display area by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise neatly, and ensuring product availability.
6. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
7. Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly by listening attentively, addressing issues professionally, or escalating them as necessary.
8. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends related to pumping and irrigation products through ongoing training or self-study.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a similar role within the retail industry is required.
2. Proven track record of delivering exceptional retail customer service is essential.
3. Ideally has experience working with pumping and irrigation products; knowledge of different brands/models would be an advantage but not mandatory.
