Veterinary Technician/Senior Veterinary Nurse Job at BRIGHTON VETERINARY HOSPITAL

Description

This position includes a range of responsibilities, such as nurse consultations, inpatient hospital care, surgical nursing, and anaesthesia monitoring and management. Participation in the reception roster is optional.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

Strong surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring skills are essential. Experience with orthopaedic and complex surgeries is highly regarded.
Proficiency in dental procedures, including dental radiography would be highly advantageous.
Confidence in conducting physical examinations and familiarity with veterinary nomenclature.
Knowledge of veterinary medications and preventatives, including safe handling, dispensing, and administration
Ability to triage emergency cases that present to the clinic.
Competency in obtaining blood samples, placing IV catheters, performing in-house cytology and blood smears, and managing fluid therapy
