What If HR is an HR consultancy for UK businesses of 1 to 50 people that have employees but nobody whose job is HR. Elena Suhova, our founder, is the named consultant on every client and does the work herself.

For Employment Hero users, that starts with workforce management setup built around how you run: leave rules, onboarding and the documents your team signs. Then we check payroll compliance where small employers most often get caught out: minimum wage, statutory sick pay, holiday pay and employment status. As the Employment Rights Act 2025 comes in through 2027, we update your contracts and policies to match, then run HR policy training so your managers know what the handbook says and when to call us.

We’ll also tell you what you don’t need yet. A seven-person business rarely needs a forty-page handbook.
