The Opportunity
This role will partner with functional leaders across the business to improve commercial
decision making and business performance through meaningful financial and non financial
analysis, insights and recommendations.
Sitting across finance, data and operations you will help translate complex information into
practical business actions. You will provide commercial and financial analysis,
budgeting and forecasting support, business case analysis, dashboard and KPI
development, and data driven insights that help leaders understand the
commercial impact and value of their decisions.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and tap into the capability of
our data team to drive stronger reporting, pressure test ideas, challenge
assumptions constructively and identify opportunities to improve performance,
processes and ways of working.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys business partnering,
storytelling with data and influencing decision makers. You will play a key
role in helping the business move from insight to action, while contributing to
a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
You are likely already working in a Commercial Business Partner, Finance
Business Partner, or similar partnering role, where you bring together strong
financial capability, data-led thinking, and the ability to influence business
decisions. You have a solid finance foundation and have grown your capability
into the data and analytics space, using insights to support better
performance, clearer decision-making, and continuous improvement.
To be the right candidate you will bring:
- Demonstrated success in a similar commercial or finance business partnering role
- A strong finance foundation, with experience extending into data and analytics
- Experience influencing stakeholders and decision makers without direct authority
- Strong capability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and KPI development
- Experience building or enhancing dashboards and translating data into meaningful business insights
- The ability to simplify complex information and tell a clear story with data
- A continuous improvement mindset, with experience identifying opportunities to improve performance, process or ways of working
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, with CA or CPA preferred
- Experience with Power BI, and ideally exposure to SQL, Power Query and ETL/data warehouse concepts
- Flexibility to travel interstate as required
