Youth Worker – Specialist Homelessness Services

About the Role

Taldumande Youth Services is seeking reliable and motivated Casual Youth Workers to join our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) team.

You’ll work primarily at our North Shore refuge and semi-independent to houses on the Northern Beaches and North Shore. Your role will involve supporting young people (12–24) in their daily lives, building trust, and helping them develop independence.

Note: Sleepover shifts are a mandatory part of this role.

What You’ll Do

• Support young people in daily routines
• Build positive, trusting relationships
• Deliver activities that build life skills and independence
• Respond to challenging situations calmly and safely
• Maintain a structured and supportive environment
• Complete case notes and assist with household duties

About You

• Certificate IV in Youth Work (or related field)
• 2+ years’ experience in community services, preferably residential care
• Flexible for evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts
• Confident, reliable, and approachable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Willing to complete Working With Children Check & National Police Check
