The Role

QA/QC Coordinator – reporting to the Project Manager, the successful applicant will ensure that client products and services meet all required regulatory and quality standards, supporting the Operations teams in delivering business quality requirements through practical quality controls. QA/QC Coordinator will review client requirements and define ITP and related QC checks, undertaking inspection activities across the business, ensuring these activities align with the objectives of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify Customer Quality
  • Requirements and work with Internal stakeholders to ensure compliance
  • Liaise with Customer and Regulatory bodies Inspect production quality to establish client requirements are being met
  • Record & document any deviations from the project quality program & integrated management system (IMS)
  • Review calibration status of test equipment ensuring its within calibration prior to use
  • Maintain the ITP register, creation and completion of ITP’s & MDR’s for the project
  • Assess quality records to ensure compliance & ensure records are updated in a timely & efficient manner
  • Managing and maintaining quality documents; including document reviews and system registration
  • Document control and change control activities
  • Liaising with external manufacturing partners, suppliers and auditors
  • Reviewing Subcontractor Quality documentation i.e., OQE, ITP, MDR
  • Generate client NOI’s as required for all hold, witness & inspection points
  • Identify and raise TQ’s and Non-Conformances on products and manage stakeholder’s deliverables to closure
  • Document Control and Revision Control Reporting Revision Control Changes to Project Engineering Review and advise on Project Documentation, including Work Packs, Reports, etc.
  • Review calibration status of test equipment ensuring its within calibration prior to use
  • Assist with welding QA inspection, auditing & documentation
  • Generate client NOI’s as required for all hold, witness & inspection points

Qualifications & Experience

  • Trade Certificate or Higher (Mechanical Trade Desirable)       
  • Proven experience in a technical quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing, defence, or heavy engineering environment.   
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing, specifications and quality standards.
  • Experience in developing Objective
  • Quality Evidence (OQE) and material compliance processes.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar capacity (Essential)
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 quality management
  • Experience in working in large and complex programs
  • Experience in managing multiple activities and priorities and ability to deliver agreed content within required time frames
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills with proven experience liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise work schedules and tasks to meet ever-changing work demands
  • Able to work as a team and autonomously with the drive for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Document and data / record management skills
  • Confined Space Ticket within the last 2 years (Desirable)
  • Piping Inspection experience (Desirable)
  • Inspection of Welding qualification (Desirable) 
  • Proficient in MS Suite
  • A National Police Clearance within the last 12 months 
  • Current driver’s licence
