The Role
Following strong and sustained growth over the past 5 years, the business is entering its next phase of structured scale. With revenue increasing and additional sites planned, the focus is now on strengthening and aligning the finance function to enhance reporting visibility and improve commercial decision-making.
Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, the Finance Manager will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function. This includes evolving systems and processes, embedding strong financial controls, and building a cohesive finance team.
You will operate as both a strategic partner and a hands-on leader, equally comfortable delivering forward-looking financial insights and supporting expansion initiatives, while maintaining oversight of day-to-day financial operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial control including monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and rolling cash flow management (short and medium term).
- Oversight of general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger integrity.
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to ensure accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment, including review of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare board reporting, executive packs and financial insights for senior leadership
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance across audit, tax, payroll tax, BAS/IAS, WorkCover and multi-state requirements
- Provide commercial insights and financial advice to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified.
8+ years experience in finance, with at least 3 + years in a Finance Manager / senior finance role.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and provide commercially focused financial insights.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability.
Experience in manufacturing industry highly regarded (not essential).
- Confident communicator, able to work closely with operational and leadership teams.
